Holy Week & Easter Services

11am – Gloucester Cathedral: Each year around the world, clergy and licenced lay people meet at their cathedrals for services in which they renew their ordination vows and their commitment to ministry. Members of our congregations are very welcome to attend and share fully in that service.

7pm – Benefice Communion of the Last Supper at Drybrook: Jesus on the night before he died, gave  bread and wine to his disciples, his body and his blood. He washed their feet and commanded them to do to others as he had done to them.

At the end of the service a cross will be brought into church and those who wish may stay for a while to pray.

GOOD FRIDAY (15th April)

Between 12noon and 3pm we remember Jesus, on the cross. It is the most solemn day in the Christian year.

12 noon and 2pm – Stations of the Cross at Ruardean.

At 12 noon there will be a led time of prayer and reflection following Jesus’ journey to and death on the cross. This act of devotion will last about an hour and be repeated at 2pm.

From 1pm to 2pm the church will be open and people are welcome to come and make that journey with Jesus on their own, using the art work of Seiger Koder and accompanying reflections and prayers.

EASTER DAY (17th April)

5.30am – Pan Tod: A short service of hymns, songs, prayers and readings for Easter.

10.30am – Benefice Service of Holy Communion at Lydbrook.
